Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
- Monitor resident conditions, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
- Assist with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
- Communicate clearly with families and support a person-centered approach to care
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain accurate clinical records
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — required
- Travel LPN (T-LPN) credentials accepted for travelers
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or LPN program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of practical nursing practices and medication administration
- Comfort with documenting care and charting in clinical records
- Skills in resident assessment, wound care basics, and safe mobility assistance
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
