Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition, escalating concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Support a safe, clean and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to support continuity and quality of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Travel LNA (T-LNA) credentials preferred for travel placements
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and any required facility onboarding
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused, resident-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program and successful LNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on skills for ADLs and mobility assistance
- Reliable ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable with electronic and paper documentation systems
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
