Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients as an LPN
- Administer medications and document administration accurately
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with care plans and implement delegated nursing tasks
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth transitions
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maine or compact/state-appropriate license
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or obtainable upon hire
- Previous LPN clinical experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical training considered
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screening requirements
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Comfortable with basic patient assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn quickly
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Time management and prioritization to handle multiple patient needs
