Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic nursing care and daily living assistance to residents
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers following facility protocols
• Document resident status and care provided in a clear and timely manner
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
• Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification (license) in VT or eligible to work as an LNA in Vermont
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work the evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) for the duration of the 9-week assignment
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe resident handling
• Clear background check and immunization status per facility requirements
• Reliable local transportation since this is a local-only assignment

Education

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, documentation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
• Basic charting/EMR familiarity is a plus
