Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic nursing care and daily living assistance to residents
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers following facility protocols
- Document resident status and care provided in a clear and timely manner
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (license) in VT or eligible to work as an LNA in Vermont
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work the evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) for the duration of the 9-week assignment
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe resident handling
- Clear background check and immunization status per facility requirements
- Reliable local transportation since this is a local-only assignment
Education
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, documentation
- Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
- Basic charting/EMR familiarity is a plus
