Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Support mealtime assistance and feeding plans as directed by care plans
• Document care activities and observations clearly and promptly in resident records
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential for VT or NH required
• Current CPR/BLS certification strongly preferred
• Ability to work night shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM on the scheduled days
• Pass background check and any facility-required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude; long-term care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and activities of daily living (ADL) support
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic documentation and charting practices
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to de-escalate stressful situations
