Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with LPN scope
• Administer medications, document accurately, and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Perform routine assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges to keep the unit running smoothly
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Participate in patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (ability to practice in Maine preferred)
• Recent clinical experience as an LPN, with demonstrated patient care skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and handling a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as required by the facility
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation practices
• Basic wound care, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes to supervising RN or provider
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical charting
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a clinical setting
