Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them thoroughly
• Perform regular patient assessments and report changes to the clinical team promptly
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary staff to create and follow care plans
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete required documentation on time
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control practices and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Alabama or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Travel LPN experience or previous LPN experience in a long term care or similar setting preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program and valid LPN certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Comfortable with patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and basic wound care
• Familiarity with long term care workflows and resident-centered care
• Proficient in accurate charting and electronic medical record systems
• Excellent teamwork, prioritization, and time management skills
