Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, ensuring comfort and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely to support excellent continuity and resident safety
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
- T-CNA / Travel CNA credential preferred or equivalent travel documentation
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to start ASAP — within 2 weeks as noted in the order
- Demonstrated teamwork, strong communication skills, and a caring attitude
- Previous long-term care or med-surgical experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification (state-specific) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of resident care and infection control practices
- Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
- Skilled at safe resident transfers and use of assistive devices
- Ability to observe, report and escalate clinical changes
- Good time management, prioritization and teamwork skills
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for resident preferences and dignity
