Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to enhance patient comfort and dignity
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility, always treating patients with respect
- Take and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — active and in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and delivering hands-on patient care
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
- Skillful at vital sign collection, ADL assistance, and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with charting and basic clinical documentation
- Good observational skills and the ability to escalate changes in patient condition
- Dependable time management and a professional bedside manner
