Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow care plans
• Monitor and document patient status, changes, and responses to care
• Educate patients and families on care routines and safety measures
• Support a positive, resident-centered environment that promotes dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (Maine license preferred or compact privileges if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a team
• Reliable, professional, and committed to quality patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical nursing skills including med administration and wound care basics
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting systems
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Personable bedside manner and strong problem-solving instincts
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
