Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents during the overnight shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
- Assess and monitor patient status, noting changes and escalating concerns
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during the shift
- Adhere to infection control and facility safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Ability to work the overnight schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Local candidates only as this is a local assignment
- Comfort working in long overnight shifts with a focus on patient safety and teamwork
- Current immunizations and ability to comply with facility health requirements
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Strong patient assessment and observation abilities
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
- Clear communication and teamwork with nursing peers and other departments
- Familiarity with infection control and resident safety protocols
