Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients as a licensed RN
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policies
• Conduct stroke assessments using NIHSS and escalate findings promptly when needed
• Apply ACLS and BLS protocols during emergencies to support positive patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Complete required Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain skills via the Trinity Skills Checklist
• Support infection control and safety procedures, including fit testing and required immunizations/testing

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (license verification required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification required
• NIHSS certification required or demonstrated proficiency
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and required health screenings (drug screen, fit test, immunizations)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and sound clinical judgment
• Proficiency in ACLS and BLS protocols and emergency response
• Competence performing NIHSS stroke assessments
• Familiarity with trauma nursing principles (TNCC) and acute care procedures
• Clear documentation skills and ability to use electronic health record systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate care across disciplines
