Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care across Pre-Op, Intra-Op and Post-Op phases for endoscopy and GI patients
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery, managing conscious sedation and patient safety throughout
• Perform peri-procedural duties including monitoring, circulating, scrubbing and bedside assistance as needed
• Administer medications, complete patient discharges, and educate patients and families on post-procedure care
• Collaborate with the procedural team and support staff to maintain efficient flow and excellent patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the Meditech charting system and communicate effectively during handoffs

Qualifications

• Current RN license (able to practice in Oregon; OR emergency 90-day license can be requested after offer)
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Prior Endoscopy/GI nursing experience with EGD, colonoscopy and bronchoscopy care
• Comfortable with conscious sedation and recovery from general anesthesia
• Experience administering and discharging surgical/endoscopy patients
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar charting systems preferred

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or BSN preferred; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills during procedural sedation
• Proficiency in perioperative nursing across pre-op, intra-op and phase II recovery
• Ability to monitor, circulate and scrub during GI/endoscopy procedures
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique and OR/endoscopy safety protocols
• Basic troubleshooting of common equipment used in endoscopy suites
