Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care for adult and geriatric MS-Telemetry patients across multiple specialties
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize and respond to rhythm changes
• Titrate heparin drips per protocol and document titrations accurately
• Float between facilities within a 60-mile zone and adapt to different unit workflows
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RT and nursing assistants, to optimize patient outcomes
• Use EpicCare Inpatient for thorough, timely documentation and handoffs
• Serve as a reliable team member during night shifts, including occasional small charge assignments when needed
• Participate in orientation and act as a learner and contributor while on float assignments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (compact license acceptable if applicable); driver's license (DL) must be submitted
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required; NIHSS required
• Experience with heparin drip titration
• Comfort and flexibility floating across units and facilities in the zone
• Epic (EpicCare Inpatient) experience preferred
• Neuro experience preferred but not required
• BSN not required

Education

• Active RN license required; ADN or BSN acceptable (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV drip management and titration (Heparin)
• Care of adult and geriatric patient populations across medical-surgical and specialty areas
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking during night shifts
• Proficient documentation in EpicCare Inpatient
• Team communication, delegation, and escalation when acuity warrants
