Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and requires coverage for 2 of 3 major holidays; night shift/float
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care across Telemetry and MedSurg units, delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing
- Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms using centralized telemetry to keep patients safe
- Titrate cardiac drips (required) following hospital protocols and communicate changes with the care team
- Float between units — quickly adapt to different patient populations including post-cath, post-op cardiac, neuro/stroke, ortho and oncology
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain clear patient records
- Participate in required simulation labs and dysrhythmia testing as part of credentialing
- Collaborate with physicians, RTs, pharmacy and PCTs to coordinate timely, effective care
- Support unit goals by taking assignment flexibility (including occasional mid-shift campus changes) and maintaining professional standards
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license eligible for submission in AZ
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Telemetry/MedSurg experience preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required for Neuro/Tele units
- Proven ability to interpret EKGs and titrate cardiac drips safely
- Comfortable floating between units and working nights, weekends, and holiday coverage
- Successful completion of employer-required dysrhythmia exam (up to 2 attempts) and pass/fail simulation lab on orientation day
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
Education
- Active RN license in Arizona (BSN not required per job posting)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition skills
- EKG interpretation and cardiac medication titration expertise (Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine management as directed)
- MedSurg clinical judgment across ortho, surgical, oncology and observation care
- Stroke/Neuro knowledge including NIHSS and post-TPA care
- Ability to work with centralized telemetry systems and coordinate with techs
- Comfort with fast-paced acute care, triage and floating between units and campuses
- Good communication, teamwork, time management and clinical documentation skills
