Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor adult med-surg and telemetry patients using best-practice clinical judgment
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely, including working with Alaris IV pumps
• Interpret telemetry and respond promptly to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Document care clearly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create patient-centered care plans
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Support unit flow by assisting across float assignments when needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for submission in Nebraska (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, telemetry or medical-surgical preferred
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• Comfortable with Epic charting and Alaris IV pump experience
• Valid driver's license required at submittal (radius rule applies)
• Professional attitude, strong teamwork skills, and cultural sensitivity (serves diverse populations including Korean-speaking patients)
• Willingness to complete orientation and pass the open-book skills exam with a 90% score

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing principles and post-surgical care
• IV therapy skills and familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps
• Proficient electronic documentation in Epic
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Ability to float to acute rehab and geriatric psychiatry units
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care setting
