Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for med/tele patients using telemetry systems and interpret ECG strips accurately
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD and med/surg tele patients
• Deliver and titrate therapies as appropriate, manage CPAP, BiPAP and high flow oxygen patients safely
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse educators and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments and interventions in Paragon EMR clearly and promptly
• Float to med/surg units as needed and support patient throughput across the floor
• Participate actively in the Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) model and follow unit-specific protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas (required)
• Minimum 3 years of acute care / telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (required)
• Proven ability to read ECG strips and monitor telemetry effectively
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating day shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
• Experience with Paragon EMR or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills

Education

• ADN or BSN in Nursing (BSN not required to apply)

• Telemetry monitoring and ECG strip interpretation
• Acute care and med/surg nursing fundamentals
• Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) workflows and remote/virtual collaboration
• CPAP, BiPAP and high flow oxygen patient management
• Effective communication with charge nurses, PCTs and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management for fast-paced, high-acuity assignments
• Ability to float across med/surg units and adapt to varying patient mixes
