Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (specific start/end times not provided in posting). Self-scheduling allowed; 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week block; guaranteed 36 hours per week; holidays required as scheduled

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
- Provide focused post-operative cardiovascular nursing care for CABG, MVR, STEMI and related cases
- Administer and titrate drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone) per protocol
- Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes using strict sterile technique
- Document care accurately in Cerner and communicate changes to the care team
- Participate in SIMs Lab and unit orientation to demonstrate clinical competency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including tele-monitor techs, respiratory therapy, and house supervision
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state license or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience is required
- BLS certification required (ACLS not required per posting)
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) prior to acceptance
- Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing change (SIMs Lab pass required)
- Ability to titrate drips and interpret cardiac rhythms independently
- Comfortable using Cerner charting system
- Must have reliable personal vehicle for travel assignments
- Facility appearance/fit-test requirements: natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean shaven for fit testing
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN not required
- Active RN license in good standing
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
- ECG/dysrhythmia interpretation
- Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
- Sterile technique and central line care
- Foley catheter insertion skills
- Familiarity with GE telemetry packs and monitors
- Experience with CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Charting and workflow in Cerner
