Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry to keep patients safe and stable
• Perform IV starts and manage lines with precision and confidence
• Insert and manage NG tubes and Foley catheters following best practices
• Set up and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC and ventilators
• Provide skilled nursing care for acute and swingbed patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia and post-op rehab
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes in patient status clearly
• Participate as a member of the code team when needed and respond calmly in emergencies
• Collaborate with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible to practice in North Dakota
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; experience on Medical and/or Telemetry units preferred
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfortable with IV starts, NG tube and Foley insertions
• Able to set up and manage BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC and ventilator equipment
• Familiarity with Meditech charting and Mindray telemetry monitors is a plus
• Flexible team player willing to float to Med/Tele/Obs/Swingbed as needed

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• ADN or BSN accepted (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV therapy and venous access skills
• NG tube and Foley insertion and management
• Respiratory equipment setup and troubleshooting (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, ventilators)
• Proficient charting in Meditech and basic computer skills
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently on a unit without tele/monitor tech support
