Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), schedule determined by leadership on a 6-week block; includes 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (float within Zone 3; nights only)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive telemetry monitoring and timely interventions for adult and geriatric patients
- Safely titrate IV drips as ordered (including heparin) and document medication responses
- Perform focused and ongoing patient assessments, recognizing changes in condition and escalating appropriately
- Float across multiple units within Zone 3 and deliver consistent, high-quality care in varied specialties
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, charge nurses, and house supervisors to coordinate patient care
- Accurately document care in EpicCare Inpatient and maintain clear, timely charting
- Support unit staffing needs by filling gaps in permanent schedules and participating in weekend/holiday rotations
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for submission (must be able to work in Colorado; agency verifies license)
- Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience required
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required; NIHSS required
- Proven experience with telemetry monitoring and MS-Tele patient population
- Comfort and competence floating to cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho/trauma, renal, and ED observation settings
- Ability to titrate heparin and manage IV medications per protocol
- Prior Epic documentation experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and willingness to float within a 60-mile radius (NO home base facility)
Education
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) — BSN preferred but not required; active RN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry strip interpretation and cardiac monitoring best practices
- IV medication titration and safe drip management (heparin experience)
- Strong patient assessment and acute care clinical judgment
- Charting and clinical workflow in EpicCare Inpatient
- Familiarity with RT equipment (vent, CPAP, BiPAP) and working alongside respiratory therapy
- Ability to adapt quickly when floating across specialties and varying acuity levels
- Clear communication, delegation, and teamwork skills in fast-paced acute care settings
