Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM, every-other-weekend coverage (4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule). Days (EOW), first to float as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias accurately to keep patients safe
- Provide evidence-based bedside nursing care for IMCU/cardiac telemetry patients (CHF, COPD, respiratory failure, post-PCI and more)
- Administer and manage protocol-driven drips (heparin, amiodarone, cardizem, DKA protocols) per unit policy
- Perform thorough bedside shift reports that prioritize patient experience and HCAHPS goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including monitor techs, respiratory therapy and unit aides to deliver coordinated care
- Float to 4West or Med/Surg as needed while maintaining high standards of care
- Complete a proctored dysrhythmia exam on day one and maintain required certifications
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry/IMCU or related specialty (2-3 years preferred, open to first-time travelers)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Comfortable using Cerner electronic medical record
- Ability to pass onsite dysrhythmia (rhythm) proctored exam (PASS/FAIL)
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma accepted; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation (GE Apex telemetry familiarity a plus)
- Care of IMCU/cardiac telemetry patients including post-PCI and respiratory compromise
- Experience with non-invasive respiratory support: BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC
- Familiarity with titratable and protocol-driven drips and DKA management
- Strong patient experience focus with bedside shift report and HCAHPS awareness
- Team-oriented communication, time management and critical thinking in a busy 38-bed unit
