Shift Type: Days, 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week guaranteed), Every Other Week (EOW) rotation, first to float; exact start/end times vary by unit

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide on-shift leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Serve as charge nurse as needed, directing unit workflow and staffing
- Mentor and support nursing staff through clinical coaching and feedback
- Round on patients to identify and address service or safety concerns
- Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain clinical continuity
- Respond to acute telemetry changes with timely assessment and intervention
- Promote a positive work environment and assist with unit-level problem solving
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Must have served as charge RN in most recent assignment; no first-time travelers
- Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (AHA or APEX) certifications required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and acute care settings
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
- Strong leadership, delegation, and clinical decision-making skills
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN not required; Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing acceptable

- Telemetry interpretation and monitoring best practices
- Patient assessment and acute care management
- Clinical leadership and charge nurse responsibilities
- Clinical mentorship and staff development
- Patient rounding and addressing service/safety concerns
- Cerner electronic health record proficiency
- Float pool adaptability and unit-based flexibility
