Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide on-shift leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care
• Serve as charge nurse as needed, directing unit workflow and staffing
• Mentor and support nursing staff through clinical coaching and feedback
• Round on patients to identify and address service or safety concerns
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain clinical continuity
• Respond to acute telemetry changes with timely assessment and intervention
• Promote a positive work environment and assist with unit-level problem solving

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Must have served as charge RN in most recent assignment; no first-time travelers
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (AHA or APEX) certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and acute care settings
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
• Strong leadership, delegation, and clinical decision-making skills

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN not required; Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing acceptable
