Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; includes every-other-weekend and holiday rotation as needed (day shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for post-catheterization, post-vascular procedure, CABG day-2 and general telemetry patients
- Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and accurately interpret EKGs to detect dysrhythmias
- Titrate and manage IV cardiac medications (Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine) per protocol to safely wean patients
- Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures and demonstrate competency during orientation pass/fail assessments
- Collaborate effectively with PCTs, RTs, pharmacy, and hospitalists to ensure coordinated, timely patient care
- Adhere to unit ratios (1:3-4) and escalate concerns to Charge Nurse or Clinical Supervisor when needed
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR and participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives
- Support safe patient throughput by floating only to similar or lower acuity units when required
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in Arizona)
- Minimum 2 full years of recent nursing experience (must have 2 years to be considered)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven ability to interpret EKGs and meet dysrhythmia competency (travelers must pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer, 2 attempts max)
- Demonstrated sterile technique competency; will be tested during orientation
- Comfort titrating IV cardiac medications per unit protocols and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and centralized tele systems
- EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
- Sterile field technique and peri-procedural care
- IV medication titration and cardiac pharmacology knowledge
- Familiarity with acute care documentation (unit uses Cerner)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness in a fast-paced cardiac environment
