Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (NOC), rotating schedule; every other weekend required; holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care across Telemetry, PCU/Stepdown and Med-Surg units as part of the float pool
- Monitor cardiac patients using remote cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry strips
- Safely manage IVs and drips (including heparin, nicardipine, insulin, NTG; fixed drips such as dopamine/dobutamine in stepdown)
- Perform assessments, initiate interventions, and escalate changes in condition promptly
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient transitions and post-op care
- Support unit staffing needs by floating between Region I facilities as required
- Participate in required orientation, Cerner validation, and continuing education modules
Qualifications
- Valid RN license (WA) — willing to wait for license submissions if needed
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience, with Med-Surg and PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
- Prior telemetry experience and comfort reading strips
- Experience with IV/drip management and common titratable drips
- Comfort floating between units and facilities within Region I
- Ability to work nights, weekends (every other weekend), and holidays as needed
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Remote cardiac monitoring systems
- IV therapy and drip titration protocols
- Post-op and med-surg patient care (lines, drains, chest tubes, CHF, DKA, arrhythmias)
- CPAP and BiPAP familiarity for respiratory support
- Strong documentation skills in Cerner
- Team communication, delegation, and delegation oversight with nursing assistants
- Ability to adapt quickly when floating between specialties
