Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and required holiday coverage (must work 2 of 3 major holidays); overnight/NOC

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor telemetry patients with expert cardiac rhythm interpretation to catch changes early
- Titrate cardiac drips safely and precisely per protocol — this is non-negotiable and critical to patient outcomes
- Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care across Telemetry, MedSurg, and occasional ICU-level patients
- Interpret EKGs and collaborate with physicians and the care team to implement timely interventions
- Float between units and campuses as needed, maintaining continuity of care and adaptability
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to ensure seamless communication and patient safety
- Participate in required competency evaluations (dysrhythmia exam, sim lab) and follow orientation requirements
- Support patient/family education and discharge planning to promote recovery and reduce readmissions
Qualifications
- Active RN license (ability to submit required licensure)
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (Telemetry/MedSurg/Acute care preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required for Neuro shifts
- Demonstrated ability to titrate cardiac drips and recognize dysrhythmias (dysrhythmia exam required prior to contract)
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and floating across units and between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to pass a pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation (required)
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma accepted; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation (EKG/dysrhythmia recognition)
- Titration of vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips (Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine guidance noted)
- Strong patient assessment and acute care nursing skills
- Familiarity with central monitoring systems and GE/Cerner monitoring environments
- IV skills including working with IV teams/SWAT resources and central line basics
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients with varying acuity
- Effective communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
