Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (NOC); schedule varies with published blocks (schedule released 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time), includes every-other-weekend and holiday rotation; typical guarantee 36 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and deliver skilled nursing care across MedSurg Telemetry and PCU units, including stepdown and post-procedural patients
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; act decisively using ACLS protocols
- Titrate and manage IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) safely and per policy
- Provide post-cardiac cath and CABG post-op care with attention to groin sites and hemodynamic status
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, monitor techs, and charge nurses to ensure seamless patient care
- Document timely and accurately in Cerner to maintain continuity of care and compliance
- Support and mentor unit staff and float between campuses as staffing needs require
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and competency validation, including dysrhythmia exam requirement
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (able to work in Arizona)
- BLS and ACLS required prior to starting
- Minimum 1 year PCU/stepdown experience (float pool experience a strong plus); 2 years overall clinical experience noted
- Comfortable and experienced with ECG/dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to titrate and manage common drips safely
- Experience using Cerner or similar electronic charting systems
- Able to pass the required dysrhythmia exam (minimum 80% within two attempts)
- Willingness to float across MedSurg Telemetry, PCU, and inpatient holds in ED
Education
- Active RN license required (BSN not required)
- Associated clinical orientation provided (12-hour unit orientation + hospital orientation as noted)
Knowledge & Skills
- ECG/dysrhythmia interpretation and monitor strip reading
- Telemetry assessment and stepdown patient management
- IV drip titration and vasoactive medication management
- Post-cardiac cath and CABG postoperative care
- Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP and heated high flow support
- Strong clinical judgment in acute care and float-pool environments
- Proficient Cerner charting and documentation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork across multiple units and campuses
