Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating schedule with every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday (12-hour shifts, 36 guaranteed hours/week)

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality Med/Tele and PCU-level nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
- Continuously monitor telemetry and interpret ECG strips to detect and act on cardiac changes
- Titrate and manage common drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, low-dose dopamine) safely and per protocol
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including physicians, RTs, and monitor techs to optimize patient outcomes
- Troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, trachs, and high-flow devices as needed
- Serve as a patient advocate and provide clear education and support to patients and families
- Document timely and accurate patient care in EPIC and participate in bedside shift reports
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ND or compact RN license as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience (Med/Tele/PCU experience required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proven ability to read and interpret ECG strips and manage telemetry patients
- Experience titrating drips and managing cardiac/stepdown patients
- Familiarity with EPIC preferred
- Willingness to float to related areas (PCU, medical-surgical, ER holds) as needed
Education
- Active RN license in good standing
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- PCU/stepdown patient assessment and care planning
- IV drip titration and cardiac medication management
- Familiarity with cardiac cath, EP studies and temporary pacing care
- Experience working with telemetry/monitor tech workflows
- Troubleshooting BiPAP, trach care, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
