Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies (XR, CT, MRI/MRA, fluoroscopy) with patient-centered care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Fuji, CT scanners, portable X-ray) following safety and quality protocols
• Accurately document procedures and results in the Cerner EMR for seamless patient care
• Deliver portable imaging services for inpatient and urgent care areas as needed
• Respond to on-call requests within the established response window (30–60 minutes)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Sound Physician hospitalists, to support acute care needs
• Ensure radiation safety, equipment QC, and adherence to departmental protocols

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Fluoroscopy certification required/expected
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience in an acute care setting
• Comfortable with on-call rotations and weekend coverage (every other weekend)
• Experience with Cerner EMR and Fuji imaging equipment preferred
• Ability to respond to call within 30–60 minutes

Education

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology or related field; ARRT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiologic technology, diagnostic imaging, and image acquisition
• Proficiency with XR, CT (including CT with contrast), MRI/MRA, and fluoroscopy procedures
• Experience performing portable X-rays in inpatient settings
• Familiarity with Cerner charting/workflows and Fuji imaging systems
• Excellent patient positioning, radiation safety, and infection control practices
• Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment
