Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, nights with every-other-weekend requirement (EOW); schedules posted 3-4 weeks in advance, some flexibility for week schedules
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilators and provide expert ventilator management for patients across ER, ICU, pediatrics and med-surg
- Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide respiratory interventions
- Deliver non-invasive ventilation and manage high flow nasal cannula therapies
- Provide breathing treatments, aerosol therapy including aero-gen nebulizers, and heliox when indicated
- Support pediatric and neonatal needs including high flow neonatal nasal cannula and interpulm percussion
- Perform cardiac monitoring such as EKGs as part of comprehensive respiratory assessment
- Float to multiple units (excluding NICU) and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety
- Serve as a resource in emergency and acute care situations and assist hospitalist teams as needed
Qualifications
- Current RRT required (California RRT license required; CRT not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience, 2-5 years preferred
- Prior travel clinician experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NRP and PALS required; NPS required if you want to work in NICU
- COVID-19 vaccination required per facility policy
- Experience with Cerner or similar EMR strongly preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float across hospital areas
Education
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with ventilators: Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, Galileo
- Skilled in ABG collection and interpretation
- Experience with non-invasive ventilation and high flow therapies
- Familiarity with aero-gen nebulizers, heliox, and interpulm percussion techniques
- Comfortable with acute care populations: ER, ICU, pediatric med-surg, telemetry
- Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills under pressure
- Charting experience in Cerner and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
