Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care across the spectrum from neonates to geriatrics
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced airway support safely and effectively
• Perform bedside bronchoscopy assistance and bedside spirometry
• Interpret EKGs and respond to cardiac/respiratory events in collaboration with the team
• Deliver CPAP, BiPAP and high flow oxygen therapy using facility equipment
• Chart accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication with providers and nursing
• Float to different inpatient areas as needed and support unit needs
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications — required
• NRP and PALS — preferred
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient respiratory therapy experience
• Comfortable with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Able to pass background checks and comply with facility policies (including fingernail policy)

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
• RRT credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management (Drager, Servo I, CareFusion exposure)
• CPAP and BiPAP therapies (Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T)
• High flow oxygen therapy (Airvo2)
• Bedside bronchoscopy support
• Bedside spirometry and pulmonary function support
• EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Inpatient respiratory therapy workflows and acute care protocols
• Strong communication, time management, teamwork, and adaptability
