Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, compassionate radiation therapy treatments to patients using Varian Trilogy, Clinac 21EX and TrueBeam systems
• Operate and perform daily checks on linear accelerators to ensure safe, precise treatment delivery
• Position patients and verify setup using immobilization devices and imaging per treatment plans
• Document treatments and chart in Cerner, maintaining clear, timely clinical records
• Follow radiation safety protocols and coordinate with the team regarding badge monitoring and exposure logs
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient care
• Participate in quality assurance activities and troubleshoot minor equipment or workflow issues

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (required)
• California Radiation Therapist license (required)
• BLS certification (required); ACLS not required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience operating Varian linear accelerators (Trilogy, Clinac 21EX, TrueBeam preferred)
• Comfortable charting in Cerner or similar EMR systems
• Able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and complete orientation hours as required
• Radiation badge provided by the agency (facility does not provide badge)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with Varian linacs (Trilogy, Clinac 21EX, TrueBeam)
• Radiation safety principles and exposure monitoring
• Patient positioning, immobilization techniques, and image-guided setup
• Basic QA procedures for treatment machines and daily checks
• Clinical documentation and charting proficiency (Cerner)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
