Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts with variable start times (examples: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM); includes evenings, weekend coverage and on-call rotation (4 call shifts every 6 weeks) with a 30-minute response expectation

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for orthopedic, spine and general surgery patients
• Assist and scrub for cases including robotics (Da Vinci, Rosa, Mako) when needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR techs to maintain efficient case flow
• Use Epic to document patient care accurately and timely in the perioperative setting
• Prioritize patient safety by adhering to sterile technique, proper patient positioning, and surgical counts
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications (30-minute response time) and support weekend/evening coverage

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (must be able to submit license)
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience; orthopedic and spine experience required
• BLS certification required (ACLS not required per posting)
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred; Epic experience strongly valued
• Scrubbing experience is nice to have but not strictly required
• Driver's license must be submitted and clinicians must be in-state for orientation week

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative care principles and sterile technique
• Orthopedic and spine surgical workflows and instrumentation
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery platforms: Da Vinci, Rosa, Mako
• Proficiency with Epic charting (EpicCare Inpatient)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced OR
• Ability to manage multiple cases per day and maintain attention to detail
