Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, primarily Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM with some 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM coverage; includes every-other-weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert neonatal nursing care in a Level 3 NICU for infants from 22 weeks to term
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support including high frequency ventilation, Draeger, Nitric Oxide, and NAVA when indicated
- Perform IV and TPN management with precision and partner with the IV and pharmacy teams
- Use Cerner and Breast Milk Bridge for accurate charting and breastmilk scanning
- Collaborate with neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary staff for high-quality care
- Assess and treat sepsis, respiratory distress, drug withdrawal babies, and other high-acuity neonatal diagnoses
- Float to Pediatrics and Postpartum when needed and provide couplet care in Postpartum confidently
- Interpret basic telemetry on Phillips monitors and escalate arrhythmias to NNP or MD as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible to practice in California
- Minimum 2 years of neonatal nursing experience, Level 3 NICU experience highly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Strong IV skills and experience with TPN management
- Comfortable with ventilator management and high-acuity neonatal interventions
- Willingness to float to Pediatrics and Postpartum and provide couplet care
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner charting and Breast Milk Bridge scanning
- Experience with Phillips monitors and basic telemetry interpretation
- Skilled in Medfusion and transitioning knowledge of Alaris syringe pumps
- Knowledge of high frequency ventilation, Draeger systems, Nitric Oxide, and NAVA ventilation
- Ability to manage complex IVs, TPN, and high-volume preemie care
- Familiarity with neonatal abstinence syndrome care and high-volume sepsis and respiratory cases
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking in fast-paced NICU settings
