Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Evening/Night) — Evenings with participation in standby and holiday rotation as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams across specialties including brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, cardiac, prostate and MSK
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI scanners (GE 1.5T & 3T, Philips, Hitachi) and ensure safe imaging for patients with implanted devices
- Start IVs when required and manage contrast administration with attention to patient safety
- Use Epic and Sectra PACS for accurate charting, image management and communication with radiologists
- Prepare patients with empathy, explain procedures clearly, and provide an excellent patient experience
- Collaborate with radiologists, radiology aides and the MRI team to optimize workflow and exam quality
- Participate in standby and holiday rotations and help maintain departmental coverage as needed
- Follow all safety, infection control and regulatory policies, including BLS and N95 fit testing requirements
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist License required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT primary pathway
- Current healthcare provider BLS certification
- N95 fit tested or willing to be fit tested
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- IV insertion skills required
- ARRT (MR) preferred; ARMRIT candidates acceptable only if they also achieve ARRT MR certification
- Experience with Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI and Breast Biopsy MRI encouraged
Education
- Not specifically stated; ARRT certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with MRI modalities and protocols for neuro, body, breast and cardiac exams
- Experience with GE 1.5T and 3T systems; familiarity with Philips and Hitachi equipment
- Comfortable using EPIC and Sectra PACS for charting and image retrieval
- Strong patient positioning and implant screening skills
- Ability to perform and document IV starts and contrast administration
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
