Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, typically 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week (3x12), every 3rd weekend required, rotating holidays
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate medical-surgical and post-operative cancer care for patients recovering from procedures such as prostatectomy and mastectomy
- Monitor telemetry and central monitoring, promptly recognizing and acting on clinical changes
- Titrate IV drips (heparin, lidocaine, TPN) per protocol to maintain patient stability
- Document accurately and timely in EPIC to ensure clear continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
- Serve as charge nurse or support house supervisor duties when assigned
- Collaborate with nursing assistants and monitor techs to maintain appropriate patient ratios and safety
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in the appropriate state)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (medical-surgical/telemetry experience preferred)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Proven ability to titrate and manage heparin, lidocaine, and TPN infusions
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic charting systems
- Good communication skills, consistent timeliness, and strong documentation habits
- Driver's license required at time of submittal (used to confirm 50-mile radius requirement)
- Willingness to pass an orientation skills exam (open-book) with a 90% score
Education
- Active RN licensure; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and central monitor interpretation
- Medical-surgical nursing best practices and post-operative care principles
- IV drip titration and infusion management
- EPIC electronic charting and accurate documentation
- Patient-centered care and effective bedside communication
- Ability to function as charge nurse and coordinate unit workflow
