Shift Type: Rotating nights (primarily), 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; typically 3 shifts/week (36 hours guaranteed), every-other-weekend requirement and holiday rotation; floats to MedSurg and Tele as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor and document patient status to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Interpret cardiac strips and respond appropriately when floated to Med/Tele units
- Administer medications and drips such as heparin and blood per hospital protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT and pharmacy for 24/7 patient needs
- Provide compassionate care to patients with diagnoses like pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, ESRD and trauma-related issues
- Float to MedSurg and Tele units as needed, maintaining flexibility and strong clinical judgment
- Support charge nurse and unit operations when assigned, adhering to the 5:1 ratio
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to submit) to work in the assignment
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, MedSurg and/or Telemetry preferred
- Cerner EMR experience is required
- Current BLS certification required; chemo certification preferred
- Ability to accurately read cardiac strips and manage Telemetry patients when floated
- Comfort with drips (heparin, blood) and basic respiratory support such as BiPAP/CPAP
Education
- Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN acceptable (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong MedSurg and Telemetry clinical knowledge
- Cardiac rhythm strip interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
- Experience with 12-hour shift workflows and floating between units
- Familiarity with common medical-surgical diagnoses and trauma-related care
- Ability to collaborate with RT, pharmacy and other support services
