Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend deliveries independently and provide hands-on labor and delivery care
• Circulate in C-sections and collaborate with surgical techs and anesthesia
• Assist with newborn transition and perform neonatal resuscitation when needed
• Titrate common drips such as magnesium, Pitocin and insulin safely and accurately
• Document patient care using Epic and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide mother-baby (postpartum/couplet) care and patient education for high-risk diagnoses
• Support unit staffing and float to mother-baby/postpartum within the department as needed
• Maintain AWHONN-guideline ratios and ensure safe, quality-focused care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit WA license or willing to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / LDRP experience (1 year considered with strong travel background)
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in C-sections
• Demonstrated experience with drip titration (magnesium, Pitocin, insulin)
• Experience with Epic electronic charting; familiarity with Centricity Perinatal (EFM) preferred
• Comfort working with high-risk patients (pre-eclampsia, diabetes, substance use, etc.)
• Prior travel nursing experience and intermediate/advanced FHM preferred

Education

• Active RN license in good standing; ADN or BSN accepted (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor & Delivery (LDRP) best practices and mother-baby/postpartum care
• Neonatal transition and resuscitation (NRP skills)
• Electronic charting in Epic and fetal monitoring with Centricity Perinatal
• Medication/drip titration and infusion management
• C-section circulation and intraoperative teamwork
• Effective communication with OB hospitalists, NNPs, anesthesia and monitor techs
• Ability to work autonomously while following unit protocols and AWHONN ratio guidelines
