Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and intervene appropriately
• Circulate and recover patients for C-sections, coordinating with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Titrate IV medications such as Pitocin and magnesium per protocol and monitor patient response
• Perform triage assessments to prioritize care and escalate when needed
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and collaborate with the newborn care team
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Precept and orient as assigned; contribute to a positive unit culture and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit license within 60-mile radius requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; must have at least 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or C-EFM), NRP
• Comfortable with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum care and triage
• Experience circulating and recovering C-sections and titrating drips (Pitocin, magnesium)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Prior travel experience is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor & Delivery best practices and AWHONN guidelines
• Electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Neonatal resuscitation protocols
• Perioperative support for C-sections (circulating/recovering)
• IV medication titration and monitoring
• Triage assessment and prioritization
• Accurate clinical charting in Epic
