Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (night), includes weekend coverage (every 3rd weekend, may be up to every other); holiday coverage: 1 major and 1 minor
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert labor and delivery nursing care including intrapartum support and high-risk OB management
- Perform continuous fetal monitoring using Obix/EFM and act promptly on abnormal tracings
- Circulate in the OR for C-sections and support surgical teams during procedures
- Conduct newborn assessments and routine baby care; support postpartum dyad care when floating to postpartum
- Titrate and manage drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate safely and per protocol
- Document clinical care accurately in EPIC and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (residents, MDs, CRNAs, techs)
- Support unit flow in triage, labor, OR and postpartum while maintaining patient safety and evidence-based practice
- Model teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude to create a great experience for patients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the practicing state (current and unrestricted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (Labor & Delivery preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Intro to Fetal Monitoring
- Proven competency in newborn assessment and routine infant care
- Ability to circulate in the OR and work with surgical teams
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Ability to titrate drips (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate) and manage set-rate infusions
- Valid driver’s license at time of submittal (used to confirm radius eligibility)
- Willingness to float to Postpartum and occasional sitter shifts; flexible schedule and team-oriented mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Fetal monitoring (Obix/EFM) and interpretation
- Neonatal/newborn assessment and routine baby care
- Intrapartum care and high-risk obstetrics familiarity (AWHONN guidelines)
- Operating room circulation and C-section support
- Medication titration and infusion management
- EPIC electronic charting and clinical documentation
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced L&D environment
- Basic respiratory troubleshooting for infants (nasal cannula) and collaboration with RT
