Shift Type: Rotating night schedule, 12-hour night shifts typically 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating with every 3rd weekend; guaranteed 36 hours/week (12-hour nights)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate labor, delivery and postpartum nursing care for low-risk maternal patients
- Manage maternal and newborn couplets with appropriate 1:3 and 1:1 assignment ratios as cases require
- Administer and titrate IV medications and drips such as pitocin, magnesium sulfate and insulin safely
- Use Alaris infusion pumps and follow IV medication administration best practices
- Perform neonatal resuscitation as needed and collaborate with NICU when applicable
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
- Work with charge nurses and participate in unit-based teamwork to ensure quality, timely care
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for practice in IA (required)
- BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (L&D experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable managing labors, deliveries and postpartum care; experience with low-risk maternal cases
- Experience with EPIC charting and Alaris infusion pumps, IV medication administration, and common drips (pitocin, mag, insulin)
- Driver's license required at time of submittal; candidate must meet 50-mile radius rule (no concurrent employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within radius)
- Willingness to complete an orientation skills exam (open-book) and achieve the required passing score
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong maternal/newborn assessment and clinical decision-making
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) competency
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
- Alaris pump operation and IV medication administration
- Familiarity with management of gestational diabetes (GDM), magnesium infusions, insulin drips and pitocin titration
- Ability to collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
- NICU exposure is a plus for enhanced newborn care
