IR Technologist - Interventional Radiology
Location: Seattle, WA

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (4x10 schedule, rotating days off). Includes 1-2 weeknight on-call shifts per week (weeknight call 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and 1 weekend call approximately once per month (Fri 6:00 PM - Mon 7:00 AM). Shift type: rotating/day with on-call nights and weekends.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $86 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with all interventional radiology procedures, including neuro IR and vascular cases
- Scrub and circulate during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
- Operate and document studies in Cerner EMR, GE Centricity RIS, and Philips IntelliSpace PACS
- Support stroke response by keeping one room ready for emergent cases and responding on-call within 30 minutes
- Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and surgeons in hybrid OR and IR suite environments
- Maintain and follow radiation safety protocols; traveler must provide a radiation badge
- Participate in call rotation, holiday coverage, and required documentation for each shift
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required with verification
- Washington State Radiology License required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of IR tech experience; travel experience preferred
- Experience in stroke receiving facilities and hybrid OR settings preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate and work with biplane and single-plane angiography systems
- Must be able to respond to on-call within 30 minutes and work scheduled call blocks
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent training (preferred)
- ARRT (R) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner EMR, GE Centricity RIS, and Philips IntelliSpace PACS
- Comfortable using Philips imaging equipment and hybrid OR setups
- Skilled in interventional radiology procedures for neuro and vascular cases
- Strong sterile scrubbing and circulating technique
- Ability to handle high-volume days (10-20 cases) and emergent stroke activations
- Team-oriented communication with nurses, surgeons, and radiologists
