Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Interventional Radiology suite during 10-hour day shifts
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures including thrombectomies, carotid stents, and embolectomies
• Start IVs, assist with patient transport, and support radiology workflow as needed
• Collaborate with Neuro IR techs, charge nurse, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Chart accurately in EPIC and document interventions, assessments, and patient responses
• Participate in orientation, skills validation and open-book competency exam to maintain high standards
• Float within Radiology when required, demonstrating flexibility and a patient-first attitude

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for submission (must provide at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU, or ER (neuro experience preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• PALS preferred — nice to have if working pediatric or hybrid cases
• Valid driver’s license (used to confirm radius eligibility)
• Ability to pass department orientation and skills exam (90% required on the open-book test)

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing accepted; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC charting and documentation
• Familiarity with Siemens - Artis Icono imaging equipment
• Strong IV starts and vascular access skills
• Experience supporting thrombectomy, carotid stent, embolectomy procedures
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Comfortable floating across radiology areas and adapting to varied case types
