Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients with complex diagnoses
• Manage ventilators (Puritan Bennett 840) and titrate vasoactive drips such as norepinephrine and vasopressin safely
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in cardiac rhythm
• Work collaboratively with intensivists, RT, and pharmacy for 24/7 comprehensive care
• Perform CRRT management as indicated and coordinate care for post-op cardiac and neuro-trauma patients
• Serve in charge nurse capacity when assigned, coordinating unit flow while not carrying a patient assignment
• Float to adult intermediate/AG units when needed while maintaining ICU standards

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (able to submit to facility)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management, telemetry interpretation, vasopressors, and CRRT
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred but not required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma accepted; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills for high-acuity patients
• Proficiency in ventilator management (Puritan Bennett 840)
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry and manage arrhythmias
• Familiarity with vasoactive medication titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Adaptability to float between ICU and intermediate care as needed
