Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating 12-hour day shifts; self-scheduled with scheduler rebalancing; weekend requirement approximately 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks; holidays per core staff rotation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adults in SICU/MICU/TICU settings
- Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support including Cervo I, Jet and oscillator ventilators
- Titrate drips and manage complex hemodynamic support safely and according to protocols
- Read and interpret cardiac strips and act quickly on dysrhythmias
- Perform and maintain competency in central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion while upholding sterile technique
- Collaborate with intensivists, RTs and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated patient care
- Participate in SIMs Lab, unit orientation and ongoing competency checks to maintain high standards
- Float across ICU areas and support MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed to ensure excellent patient coverage
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact RN license eligible for Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience, with experience in a 600+ bed teaching facility preferred
- Required Level 1 Trauma experience
- Current ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Proven ability to titrate drips and manage vasoactive infusions
- Demonstrated competency in mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Comfortable reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms (must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance)
- Must pass SIMs Lab skills for Foley insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel team requirements
- Must meet facility appearance/fit-test requirements (natural hair color, no facial piercings; men must be clean shaven for fit test)
Education
- Current RN license (required)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Mechanical ventilation modes and troubleshooting
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
- Central line and Foley catheter care with strict sterile technique
- Experience with bedside procedures: bronchoscopy assistance, tracheostomy care and hemodialysis catheter support
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
- Ability to work in fast-paced trauma and transplant populations with strong prioritization skills
- Team communication and collaboration with bedside and ancillary staff
