Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 06:30 AM - 06:30 PM (day) and 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM (night); typically 3 shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours). Schedule varies across Monday through Sunday with every-other-weekend requirement and a minimum of 2 holidays during the 13-week contract.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients in a 33-bed unit
- Titrate drips and manage titratable infusions including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
- Continuously monitor, interpret, and document cardiac telemetry using GE monitors
- Troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment and collaborate with RTs when needed
- Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered plans
- Support unit surge needs by floating to PCU or MedSurg when required, maintaining appropriate ratios
- Complete unit orientation and competency checks, including a skills exam during orientation
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Nebraska
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required
- Comfortable titrating drips and managing complex cardiac and respiratory patients
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and GE monitor systems preferred
- Valid driver's license at submittal to meet radius rule
- Willingness to complete orientation, pass competency assessments, and adhere to facility policies
Education
- Active RN license required; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
- Cardiac monitoring interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
- Drip titration knowledge for cardiac, insulin, and sedation infusions
- Ventilator troubleshooting and basic respiratory support familiarity
- Trauma and post-procedure care experience
- Ability to work 1:2-1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios in adult critical care
