Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (Days) and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (Nights); every-other-weekend; minimum of 2 holidays during the contract; 36 guaranteed hours/week (12-hour day/night rotation)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a 33-bed ICU with typical 1:2-3 adult ratios
- Monitor and interpret telemetry/monitor strips and document findings accurately
- Safely titrate drips and manage common ICU infusions (cardiac drips, insulin, sedation)
- Troubleshoot basic respiratory equipment and collaborate with RTs on ventilated patients
- Accurately chart and communicate patient status in EPIC to the multidisciplinary team
- Respond to trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, renal failure and respiratory distress cases with clinical confidence
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during high-acuity care
- Complete required orientation activities and pass the open-book skills exam to ensure unit readiness
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to submit) — must meet facility radius/employment rules at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of progressive ICU nursing experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Proven experience with drip titration and telemetry/monitor interpretation
- Comfortable using EPIC for documentation and charting
- Valid driver's license required at time of submission (used to confirm radius eligibility)
- Willingness to comply with facility appearance policies (e.g., no artificial nails) and orientation testing requirements (90% pass threshold)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) or equivalent
- Active RN license in good standing
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry and monitor interpretation (GE monitor experience a plus)
- ICU-level assessment and critical thinking for trauma, cardiac, stroke and sepsis patients
- Medication/dose titration and infusion management
- Basic respiratory troubleshooting (nasal cannula through vents) and collaboration with RTs
- Strong documentation skills in EPIC
- Team communication, delegation and working with nurse aides/healthcare support techs
