Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); self-scheduling with scheduler right to rebalance; approximately 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks; holiday rotation; night shift (NOC)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients across SICU, MICU and Trauma ICU
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support (Cervo I, Jets, Oscillators) with confidence
- Interpret telemetry and ECG strips; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias promptly
- Titrate common drips and manage complex infusions per unit protocols
- Perform sterile bedside procedures and maintain sterile field for central line dressing changes and Foley insertions
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams available 24/7
- Document accurately in Cerner and communicate clear handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Float among ICU areas and occasional MedSurg/Telemetry units to meet patient care needs
- Participate in SIMs Lab and competency evaluations on day 1 of orientation
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state where you will practice
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Proven ventilator management experience and telemetry/ECG interpretation skills
- Experience in a 600+ bed teaching facility preferred (required per job notes)
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed) and day‑1 SIMs Lab skills for Foley insertion and central line dressing change
- Valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle (travel team requirement); 50 mile radius rule applies and DL is source of truth for submissions
- Willingness to meet site-specific grooming/fit test requirements (facility notes include natural hair color, no facial piercings, men clean-shaven for fit test)
Education
- Active RN license; BSN is not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced critical care knowledge for SICU, MICU and Trauma ICU populations
- Ventilator management and airway support including experience with specific vent types listed by facility
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Invasive line care, central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
- Ability to perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care
- Comfort floating between ICU pods and MedSurg/Telemetry units
- Strong clinical judgment, situational awareness and teamwork in high-acuity settings
