Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for a 16-bed ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Titrate vasoactive and sedative drips safely (Levophed, Phenylephrine, Dopamine, Insulin, Propofol, Precedex)
• Manage mechanical ventilation and collaborate closely with RT for optimal respiratory care
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms as part of care
• Serve as charge nurse or house supervisor when scheduled, coordinating unit flow and staff
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EHR and participate in handoffs and team communication
• Respond to emergencies, stabilize patients, and escalate to hospitalist/intensivist as needed
• Float within unit guidelines when required, supporting unit staffing and patient needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Oregon or eligibility for the 90-day Emergency License (you can apply — not required at submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Experience in Acute Care/Critical Care — comfortable with 1:2 ICU ratios
• Proven ability to titrate drips and manage vasoactive/sedation infusions
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and telemetry monitoring
• Comfort working rotating shifts, every-other-weekend schedule, and occasional on-call coverage
• Strong communication skills and ability to function as charge nurse when scheduled

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN — BSN preferred
• Active RN license (Oregon) or eligible for 90-day Emergency License

Knowledge & Skills

• Vasoactive medications and titration (Levophed, Phenylephrine/Neosynephrine, Dopamine)
• Sedation agents and infusions (Propofol, Precedex)
• Insulin infusion management and glucose monitoring
• Mechanical ventilation management and familiarity with vents, CPAP, BiPAP
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
• Use of Meditech EHR for documentation and orders
• Team-based collaboration with Respiratory Therapy, hospitalist/intensivist coverage
