Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill adults and post-op cardiac patients
• Manage ventilators and perform advanced respiratory assessments in collaboration with RT team
• Titrate and monitor medication drips including vasopressors, heparin and nitro safely and effectively
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond to changes using strong critical thinking
• Document patient care and assessments accurately in Cerner PowerChart
• Collaborate with in-house hospitalists and intensivists to deliver coordinated care 24/7
• Support unit flow and float to Tele or ER for ICU holds when required
• Contribute to patient satisfaction goals by delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience preferred, or 2+ years ICU experience if coming from a large tertiary center
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, telemetry monitoring and medication drips/vasopressors
• Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart or similar EMR
• Comfort working every other weekend and scheduled holidays
• Prior travel nurse experience is a plus

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory assessment
• Medication titration and drip management including vasopressors
• Telemetry interpretation and rapid response skills
• Strong documentation skills in Cerner PowerChart
• Ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
