Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with cardiac and respiratory diagnoses
• Assess and monitor patients continuously using telemetry and clinical judgment
• Titrate vasoactive and sedative drips (Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neo-Synephrine, Precedex) safely and per protocol
• Manage ventilated patients and collaborate closely with Respiratory Therapy for ventilator care
• Document patient care and assessments accurately in MediTech EHR
• Serve as charge nurse/house supervisor when assigned, coordinating team workflow and patient placement
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and support the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists/intensivists
• Float to other units per ONA contract in a fair rotation when needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit for 90 OR Emergency License; OR not required at submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proven ability to titrate drips and manage vasoactive infusions
• Experience with ventilator management and telemetry monitoring
• Comfortable using MediTech EHR for charting
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and cover every-other-weekend/holidays as required

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization skills
• Telemetry strip interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Advanced knowledge of vasoactive and sedative infusion titration
• Ventilator modes, settings, and troubleshooting
• Strong interdisciplinary communication (RT, hospitalists, nursing leadership)
• Proficiency with MediTech electronic charting
• Ability to lead as charge nurse and make timely clinical decisions
